| Life is full of rugged paths and treacherous terrain! At times, one may feel lost and alone; uncertain and unsure of which direction to take, what path to follow. Perhaps one may be fearful of making any choices or decisions where the outcome is unclear. You know you have desires, passions, and purpose, but may be mired in misery or drowning in depression. There may be times when you feel saddled with stress and aspire to lead an anxiety-free life. The good news is that you are not alone and assistance is available.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor whose graduate school education consists of a Master of Arts in Community Counseling Psychology from Loyola University, Chicago and a Master of Divinity from Brite Divinity School at Texas Christian University. I am licensed to practice independently in the state of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. As a Board Approved LPC Supervisor, I am able to supervise LPC-Interns and practicum students seeking full licensure. In addition, I am currently working on my certificate in Spiritual Direction at Southern Methodist University/Perkins School of Theology in Dallas, TX. I have worked in multi-disciplinary settings and have more than ten (10) years of experience in providing both individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and adults.
Everyone is different and everyone responds differently to similar situations. As such, my approach to counseling is holistic and eclectic, centering on the whole person. Moreover, I assist others in achieving emotional and/or spiritual balance acknowledging the impact both will have on one’s physical health. To that end, I use a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques that are relevant to the particular person (or group) including, but not limited to, mindfulness based therapy, solution-focused therapy, art therapy, play therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, visualization, dream interpretations, systematic desensitization, etc.
Some of the services I provide include spirituality, sexual abuse, grief/ loss, depression, anxiety/stress, trauma, sexual identity, training, and support groups.
I look forward to working with you as you ascend to reach your desired aspirations.
Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your first appointment to complete your paperwork.
